Jenner to lead legspin course
Wisden CricInfo staff - August 10, 2001

LONDON (Reuters)
Former Australian leg-spinner Terry Jenner returns to England next week to resume his search for wrist-spinning talent. As part of an on-going England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) wrist-spin development programme, Jenner is to lead a coaching course at King's College, Taunton, from August 13-17. It is to be attended by 20 of the country's most promising young legspinners, aged 12-18.

Two of the most promising older bowlers will subsequently be invited to travel to Australia in October to undergo two weeks intensive training in Jenner's home town of Adelaide.

The ECB's wrist-spin development programme was set up four years ago to develop a legspin bowler for the England team by 2007.

Graham Saville, ECB development of excellence manager, said: "There's no doubt we have some highly talented young bowlers and they will benefit hugely from being taught by Terry, the world's leading legspin coach."
