Preparations hit by weather Wisden CricInfo staff - August 1, 2001
Heavy and persistent rain has hampered Bangladesh's preparations for the Asian Test Championship which starts in less than a month's time. The 16-man squad had assembled for practice at the BKSP ground in Dhaka but so far they have been limited to using the indoor facilities. "The rain is hampering the practice," admitted manager Habibul Bashur. "I am afraid we are not getting enough practice matches this time which is very vital before playing with teams like Pakistan, India or Sri Lanka. The get together got off to a less than promising start when fast bowler Mohammad Sharif ruled himself out after injuring a shoulder during an earlier net session .
