Better draw for New Zealand in Sharjah
Lynn McConnell - 10 April 2001
Late changes to the match schedule for the CLEAR Black Caps in the ARY Gold Cup tournament in Sharjah will give them more time for recovery in the hot conditions.
The team's campaign opens today against Sri Lanka with the next game being against Pakistan on Thursday. The side then has a break until Sunday before playing Pakistan again and its last match will be against Sri Lanka on Tuesday.
Originally New Zealand were to play on Thursday, Friday and Sunday, three games in four days, but the changes should be much more suitable.
Should New Zealand make the final it will be played on April 20.
