Restful break but now into the business
Katrina Keenan - 27 November 2000

It's an early start and we are back at Lincoln after a couple of restful days at home. Whilst the focus has been on recovery, over the weekend the players have been fine tuning their cricket skills, maintaining their fitness levels and continuing with their nutrition and hydration plans as per normal.

It was quite exciting to return to Lincoln and it was amazing to see how things have developed since we have been away. Throughout the city there are banners, billboards and posters promoting the event and…. there are even Big Red Buses with the team plastered across the back! Lincoln University is looking awesome with heaps of signage around the venue. The cricket grounds are in magnificent nick as is the stunning new pavilion at the BIL Oval.

We had training today in the afternoon from 1-4pm at the Burnham Military Camp and this provided us all with a good work out. Unlike the freezing conditions down South for our series with England, the weather conditions today were ideal for cricket – which made a nice change.

After dinner we had a reasonably quiet night. The opening ceremony is tomorrow and we are looking forward to that as this will be the first time that all the teams will be gathered together.
