Hampshire scorer given 'dream' silver anniversary present CricInfo Press Release - 10 May 2000
Vic Isaacs sharpens his pencil for a day in the scorebox at Lord's Vic Isaacs, Hampshire's long-serving scorer, has been asked by the ECB to be the official England scorer for the forthcoming First Test against Zimbabwe at Lord's to mark his 25th anniversary as the County's scorer and his services to cricket. In addition to filling in the dots at Hampshire's County Ground, Vic is also webmaster of CricInfo's official Hampshire site (www.hampshire.cricket.org) and co-founded the Association of County Cricket Scorers. He has previously scored in one-day Internationals but has never had the opportunity to score in a Test Match before now. "It has always been an ambition of mine to score at an England Test Match, and to be asked to do it at Lord's is even more of an honour," said Vic. "It is very gratifying to have my work with Hampshire, the Association of County Cricket Scorers and CricInfo recognised and there is no better way I could celebrate my 25 years in the scorebox than this."
