Sunny, warm day makes for a welcome change
Katrina Keenan - 5 December 2000

Tuesday 5 December

What an outstanding day! The weather is great and the hot sun makes for a nice change – still a bit of wind hovering but let's be honest it's quite nice to have behind you when you're bowling.

We have just come back from a two hour training session outdoors at Burnham and finished up with some further skill work indoors at New Zealand Cricket's High Performance Centre.

It's almost 4 o'clock and several of the players are getting ready to head into town for a mayoral reception. The remaining players will be starting to think about tomorrow's game against the Netherlands and will no doubt be getting their gear organised.

Time to rest and refuel with a visit to the dining hall anticipated at 6pm. Hmm – I fancy a bit of pasta tonight!

In the meantime I might just head across to the Ireland vs Sri Lanka game at Lincoln Green.
