Rajasthan force a draw

Udaipur: As expected, the Central Zone Cooch Behar Trophy match
between Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh ended in a draw here on Tuesday.
UP declared their first innings at the overnight score of 293 for six,
thus gaining a first innings lead of 114 runs. In the Rajasthan second
innings, Ranji Trophy player Vinit Saxena scored 61. He faced 206
balls and hit seven fours and a six. He added 60 runs for the fourth
wicket off 33 overs with Arvind Chauhan (31). But after that, wickets
fell steadily and Rajasthan slid from 134 for three to 160 for seven.
Anup Dave and Dishant Yagnik however batted for 41 minutes and 10.5
overs to take the score to 174 for seven before the match was called
off after nine mandatory overs. For UP, opening bowlers Srivastav and
Tripathi took two wickets each.
Rajasthan now have six points from two matches while UP got ten points
from two games.
