Srinivas and Md. Khan recovered Andhra

Noor Md. Khan [90*] and Srinivas 83 put Andhra in a strong position in the South Zone - 22 for the P Ramachandra Rao Memorial Trophy between hosts Hyderabad and Andhra being played here at the ECIL ground on day-1 of the three days match.

Andhra lost three wickets in quick time 20 minutes to lunch but the fourth wicket partnership between stocky Noor Mohd. Khan and I Srinivas added a solid 152 in 193 minutes off 43 overs, both batsmen rotating the strike evenly. Srinivas was out 30 minutes from close of play when he failed to keep his off-drive down the ground, he was consumed by Karthik at covers off the bowling of off-spinner Arjun Yadav who was the most successful bowler of the seven Hyderabad bowlers who tried their arm.

In the morning, in the 6th over, opener Ravi Kumar missed an intended pull shot off Amresh Kumar and was missed to be hit in the abdomen was retired at score reading at 12 after 6 overs.

Nagini Kumar was caught brilliantly at Extra-cover by Anirudh Singh off Nagaraju, half-hour to lunch for a well struck 57. he was soon followed to yet another brilliant catch this time by Nagaraju off the bowling off Arjun Yadav at short mid-on. Andhra's third wicket fell in the last over to lunch when Prasad Reddy was consumed by Amresh Kumar of Arjun Yadav at the Score of 97 for 3 in 34.4 overs.

The fourth wicket partnership of 152 runs between Noor Md. Khan and I Srinivas ended when Karthik held on to Srinivas's off-drive 30 minutes to close on day-1.
