Arun Sharma, Parvinder hit centuries 17 November 1999
Kanpur: Centuries by Arun Sharma and Parvinder Singh helped Uttar Pradesh to pile up 343 for two wickets at close of play on the opening day of the Central Zone Cooch Behar Trophy match against Vidarbha here yesterday. Put in to bat, UP were off to a good start with Arun Sharma and A. Kapoor putting on 117 runs for the first wicket. Kapoor was the first to fall for 63 for which he batted 143 minutes. He faced 123 balls and hit eleven boundaries. Sharma and Parvinder then came together for a second wicket stand that added 134 runs. At 251, Arun Sharma was out for 114. He batted 279 minutes, faced 188 balls and hit 16 fours and a six. At close Parvinder and Faizan Khan (30) were at the crease. parvinder batted 245 minutes, faced 192 balls and hit eleven fours and four sixes. © CricInfo
