J & K hit back against Services 15 November 1999
New Delhi: After being restricted to 221, Jammu and Kashmir hit back hard to dismiss three Services batsmen for 20 runs at close of play on the first day of the North Zone Ranji Trophy league match here yesterday. Electing to bat, J & K lost two wickets for 47 but skipper Kavaljit Singh (58) and AP Singh (82) put on 121 runs for the third wicket in 43.2 overs. However following Kavaljit's dismissal there was precious little batting and J & K lost their last seven wickets for just 31 runs. SV Gagh was the wrecker-in-chief taking four wickets for 24 runs from 20 overs. In the short time available, Services ran into trouble against Vijay Sharma who took two wickets. The other batsman was run out. © CricInfo
