Rohtak: Jammu & Kashmir were on the brink of defeat in the North Zone Cooch Behar tie against Haryana on the second day at the Vishwakarma stadium here on Sunday.

Resuming at 120 for one, Haryana scored 312 for four in 108 overs before declaring the innings closed. The highlight of the innings was an unbeaten century by Ishan Ganda. He scored 101 in 242 minutes after facing 170 balls. He hit 12 boundaries.

Earlier Haryana lost its overnight batsmen Satish Ohlan and Maninder Bola for 64 and 53 runs respectively. Anuj Sharma contributed 37. Haryana gained a vital first innings lead of 198 runs.

J & K started their second innings on a disastrous note. They lost Vasu Jasrotia for four and Hardeep Singh for a duck. At close J & K were struggling at 53 for 6 in 25 overs. Opener Ankit Khajuria was the only batsman to show some defiance with an unbeaten 27. Haryana's Sandeep Mor, who had dismissed seven batsmen in the first innings, took another three wickets on Sunday to take his tally into double figures in the match so far.
