Hampshire award Adrian Aymes a benefit for year 2000

Hampshire County Cricket Club has announced that it's wicket-keeper Adrian Aymes is to be awarded a benefit for season 2000. Adrian Aymes 35 next month, made his debut for Hampshire in 1987 and made his first first-team appearance in August 1990.
Adi as he is known throughout the county circuit was quoted "I am overwhelmed, I have watched Hampshire as a youngster. It is a great honour to be granted a benefit by my home county".
Tony Baker, Hampshire's chief executive said "It's good to see home grown cricketers come through for such a richly deserved benefit."
Adi first came to the attention of the county whilst playing for Hampshire club, Hursley Park, and played for that club in the final of the Village Knock Out at Lord's in 1984. He was also in Hampshire Nat-West winning side of 1991.
