INDIA v BANGLADESH 1997-98
Wisden CricInfo staff - January 1, 1999

At Mohali, May 14 (day/night). India won by five wickets. Toss: India. International debuts: G. K. Khoda, M. S. K. Prasad; Maharab Hossain, Morshed Ali Khan.

India, at half-throttle and without Tendulkar, still proved too good for Bangladesh. Agarkar struck early, taking two wickets. Bangladesh never fully recovered, though stand-in captain Amin-ul-Islam hit a measured 70 before becoming Agarkar's third victim. In pursuit of a modest 185, India also set off slowly. After 28 overs, they were only 105 for four and in need of a steadying innings: Jadeja duly provided it.

Man of the Match: A. Jadeja.
