KENYA v BANGLADESH Wisden CricInfo staff - January 1, 1999
At Aga Khan Sports Club, Nairobi, October 15. Kenya won by eight wickets. Toss: Bangladesh. Bangladesh fared little better against Kenya. Having chosen to bat in a rain-shortened match, they manage just 100, Extras top-scoring with 19. Martin Suji, one of eight survivors from the Kenyan team that famously defeated West Indies in the 1996 World Cup, took four for 24 and the match award. Kenya wobbled slightly early on – Hasib-ul-Hassan took two wickets in successive deliveries – but thereafter had no trouble. Otieno maintained his good form, and Kenya won with 29 overs to spare. Man of the Match: M. Suji. © Wisden CricInfo Ltd |
