Karnataka turn the tables on Andhra

After conceding a first innings lead of 83 runs, Karnataka turned the
tables on Andhra for a 46 run victory in their South Zone Ranji Trophy
league match against Andhra at Kakinada on Tuesday.
Karnataka came back strongly into the match on the third day by
scoring 273 in their second innings. Openers Arun Kumar (53) and MR
Beerala (94) put on 101 runs and A Vijay came up with a valuable 47 in
the middle order. Beerala faced 133 balls and hit ten fours and a
six. Arun Kumar's bright knock was scored off only 49 balls with five
fours and two sixes.
Requiring 191 runs for victory, Andhra were 46 for three at stumps on
the third day. On Tuesday, medium pacer Mansoor Ali Khan ripped
through their batting and Andhra were bowled out for 144. Khan
finished with six for 47. Onoy KS Sahabudhin with an unbeaten 45 at No
8 put up a semblance of a fight.
