Pakistan Cricket Board yesterday received the video tape of Shoaib Akhtar's bowling action from the ICC. The video was watched by former cricketers and officials of PCB comprising Lt Gen Tauqir Zia (Chairman PCB), Brig (R) Khawaja Nasir Mehmood, Messrs Intikhab Alam, Shafqat Rana, Javed Miandad, Rameez Raja, Col Pervaiz Shoaib Akhtar and Zakir Khan at the PCB Headquarters at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. All present were of the unanimous opinion the Shoaib Akhtar's bowling action had no fault. His arm, as observed by everyone was straight before release of the ball. ICC has arranged a teleconference of its Advisory Panel on Illegal Deliveries on 30th December 1999. Since the Pakistan cricket team is scheduled to depart for Australia on 29th December 1999, the PCB has requested ICC to arrange this conference on 26th December 1999 or after the triangular series in Australia.
