ZCU Press Release: three Zimbabwe players disciplined by ICC referee
ZCU - 8 December 1999

The Match Referee, Mr Jackie Hendriks, received a complaint from the Sri Lankan management regarding sledging from various Zimbabwe cricketers during the Third Test Match held at Harare Sports Club.

As a result, an enquiry was held where Messrs N. Johnson, A. Campbell and M. Goodwin were asked to attend. The three Zimbabwean players acknowledged that they were in breach of the ICC Rules of Conduct Numbers 2, 4 & 5, and as a result the Match Referee handed down a 30% fine of their match fees, together with a suspended suspension ranging from 3 to 1, one day international matches, over a period of 3 to 6 months.
