New Hampshire record in County Championship match v Sussex

Hampshire recorded a new record in the Championship match against Sussex at the County Ground, Southampton when their score of 570 for 6 declared was the best 2nd innings score ever by the county.
The previous record of 534-7 declared was held by the Hampshire team that drew with Essex at Leyton in 1913.
The county also came close to beating the largest variation in their two scores, their 76 and 570 were 494 runs apart, the record for the county being the famous 1922 match against Warwickshire at Edgbaston when they scored 15 and 521 to win an incredible match.
