Jamaica Grande and Boscobel in final

Jamaica Grande and Boscobel meet today in the final of the John Issa/Superclubs hotel cricket competition at the Content Gardens Oval beginning 10:30 a.m.

The final, unlike the preliminary and semi-finals stages of the competition which were 40 over per side affairs, will be 50 overs. Jamaica Grande advanced to the final last week when they beat defending champions Shaw Park by four wickets.

Shaw Park made 263 for four off their allotted 40 overs to which Jamaica Grande replied with 264 for six with good contributions from national representatives Tony Powell and Wavell Hinds.

Boscobel reached the final by beating Club Caribbean in the semi-finals on Monday.

Good batting from Ralston Samuels (50), Dervin Morand (48) and Andre Coley (56) set up that victory and all three batsmen will be expected to do likewise today.
