Although Warne's name was not included on the WorldTel commentary team when it sent an eight-man list last week, the American-based TV company confirmed on Thursday that the master Aussie leg-spinner, who is currently recovering from a shoulder operation, was coming to Dhaka as a commentator.
The commentators' list which was sent earlier includes former England captains Tony Greig, Geoffrey Boycott, former New Zealand skipper Martin Crowe, former Indian captain Ravi Shastri, former South African batsman Barry Richards and former West Indies fast bowler Michael Holding.
Meanwhile, Philip Edger Russell, the architect of the new pitches at the Bangabandhu Stadium, will arrive in the capital from South Africa on October 13 to inspect the pitches.
Russell, a former Derbyshire county crickter who is now settled in Durban, South Africa for health reasons, will be in the city till October 20.
Besides, West Indian umpire Steve Bucknor, one of the officials designated for the nine-nation knock-out meet, is also due in the capital on October 21.
