Hagley Oval will be well used, hosting three matches this Sunday in the second round of The Press inter-club cricket knock-out tournament.

Reigning champion Riccarton will host another Hagley-based club Old Boys on Hagley 3, while on Hagley 1 St Albans meets South Canterbury.

A Timaru team also travels north for the first round of the women's competition on Hagley No. 4 against St Albans Blue. In the other men's match, Marist has its second home game against Old Collegians at Warren Park. Mid-Canterbury has the bye and qualifies for the semi-finals. West Coast was eliminated as, even though its match against Old Collegians in Greymouth was abandoned, West Coast officials said they could not field a team if the match was not played there.

The other women's matches pit East Shirley against Sydenham/Mid-Canterbury at Burwood 2 and Marist against St Albans Gold at Warren 5. Canterbury Country has a bye.
