The newly-installed electronic scoreboard at the Bangabandhu National Stadium which will be used in the International Cup, was tested for the first time last evening.
Two technicians of the South African companay Display Solutions Inc Gideon C Ackerman and Raymond D Castles expressed their complete satisfaction to The Daily Star about the board saying that it was fully ready for operation.
According to the two Capetown-based technicians, it will have a number of interesting features including the speed-check of balls delivered by the bowlers.
``Speedster '98'', an specially designed scanner, will be used to measure the speed of the deliveries.
Besides, catch phrases such as good catch ``oh not: '4 runs'', 'great six' etc, and animation will provide an unique experience for the fans.
It may be mentioned that, Display Solution Inc. have installed electronic board at the GABBA, Lord's and all grounds in South Africa.
