``We will be looking to win all our remaining matches and take the Cup,'' said captain Leslie Reifer yesterday while enjoying a free afternoon at Beckles Road as rain wrecked the final day of the ninth series.

The former Barbados batsman, now in his 20th season with Police, said the team was armed and ready for whatever battles they may face in the remaining four matches.

``My guys are focused and we know what we have to do,'' said the 39-year-old Reifer who led the lawmen to a hat-trick of titles from 1983-85.

``We are not too worried about who is in second place. We are ahead, we aim to stay in front.''

The police sergeant said the plan would be to bat once and try to dismiss the opponents twice.

``We are hoping for innings' victories and to do this we must bowl well.

``People have been critical of our bowling in the past, but we have a bowler who has over 50 wickets and another who is close to the 50-mark.

``Also, our back-up bowlers have chipped in at the right time and done well for us.''

Police's remaining matches are away meeting with Banks, BCL and Big B Spartan, and a final home clash with United Carlton.

Reifer said he saw Spartan and Banks as a challenge, but will be hoping to make light work of BCL and Carlton.

He said that winning the Police International Tournament in April helped then to focus their attention on the domestic competition.

Reifer, who turns 40 in December, a few weeks before the end of the season, also confirmed that this will be his last season in Division 1 and he is hoping for a grand send-off.

Veteran seamer Sylvester Louis, who is topping the batting and bowling averages, is also planning to make this his final season.

``We really want to win the Cup for 'Reifs' and Louis,'' said fast bowler Emmerson Sealy, the man with 52 wickets.

``All the guys have it in their hearts and we aim to make this a big one.''
