Group B's United Arab Emirates, who are fighting with Hong Kong to avoid an early clash against Bangladesh in the semifinals, recorded a massive 203-run win over Japan.

Sent into bat, UAE scored 273 before being all out in 44.1 overs with Malik notching highest 82 runs.

In reply, Japan were bundled out for 70 in 29.1 overs.

Hong Kong, who are leading the Group B table by virtue of a better run-rate, recorded a comprehensive six-wicket win over Thailand.

Batting first Thailand could muster only 125 before being all out in 43 overs. In reply, Hong Kong reached the victory target of 126 in 13.3 overs losing only four wickets. Sada Hussain smashed a brilliant 53 off 33 balls.

Malaysia, who will lock horns with Singapore in a do-or-die battle tomorrow to fill the second semifinal slot from Group A, defeated PNG, semifinalists of the last edition, by 65 runs.

Malaysia, defending a fighting total of 170 all out in 48.5 overs, went on to skittle out PNG for 105 in 27.4 overs.
