``We (our fast bowlers) haven't bowled a no-ball,'' manager Clive Lloyd said triumphantly yesterday.

``I can't remember the last time a West Indian team played in a one day game and didn't bowl a no-ball,'' Lloyd told Voice of Barbados after West Indies had completed a six-wicket victory over India to reach today's final of the Wills International Cup.

``That again is good news and I hope we can continue,'' he said.

``We haven't won a tournament of this nature for quite some time,'' he added, hoping for a win against South Africa today.

Lloyd singled out pacers Reon King, making his international debut, and Mervyn Dillon for special mention.

``They both bowled extremely well. Reon has always bowled well for Guyana in the one day games. He bowled really well on his first outing for the West Indies and Dylon is improving in every game. I think it really augurs well for the West Indies.''

West Indies are without fast bowlers Curtly Ambrose, Courtney Walsh and Ian Bishop for this tournament.

As to the batting he cited the contributions of Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Philo Wallace, Brian Lara and Keith Arthurthon and wished for better times for opener Stuart Williams.

``Keith Arthurton is showing us that really and truly he should be around our cricket and he should have been around for a while. He played intelligently throughout the time he has been brought back and is a great asset to our side - he is an excellent fielder, he saved so many runs in our field.''

Lloyd explained that the team overcame early fielding problems ``pulled up their socks'' and played well to advance.

Responding to a question as to whether the West Indies should bat first today, the manager said: ``The pitches have held up very well.''

Lloyd also said that the team could be back at full strength since hard-hitting opener Clayton Lambert who has been ruled out of early matches ``is alright''.
