WHAT is the financial position of the Barbados Cricket Association's (BCA) Instant Money Game?
This is the question that president of the Dover Cricket Club Adrian Donovan would like answered after BCA members were told at the recent annual general meeting last week that there would be no financial statements on the lottery.
``The membership was told that the operators did not hand over the necessary documents to the auditors, and as a result, the BCA could not provide the necessary answers concerning the financial position of the Instant Money Game.''
``The whole matter needs to be addressed urgently, and I would hope that the Government would not approve another red cent to the BCA until this matter is thoroughly examined and settled.''
Since its inception in 1978, the money has been used to construct stands at Kensington Oval, providing prize money to install the irrigation system and to help build and upgrade several pavilions on the island.
