Aggressive batting by Chitranath Wijeratne (60 and 53 not out) and Nalaka Ratnayaka (63 not out) who put on 113 in an unbroken stand for the third wicket in just 40 minutes for Sri Rahula College was the highlight of their inter-school cricket match against Gurukula Maha Vidyalaya, Kelaniya which in a tall scoring draw at Katugastota on Tuesday.
In a rare incident in a school cricket match in the hill capital J. Rajapakse was given out handling the ball when he had scored 46 in Sri Rahula's second innings.

Spinners Sanjeewa Gamage 5 for 35 and Nisitha Rupasinghe 3 for 80 restricted St. Aloysius College Galle to 186 all out in their inter-school cricket match against Kingswood College which began at police grounds, Kandy yesterday.
St. Aloysius who were 83 for 5 at one stage recovered through some useful contributions by the tail enders.
At stumps Kingswoodians have replied with 125 for 3. Lasitha Ekanayake and Chanaka Amunupura put on 66 for the second wicket.

St. Sylvester's College were well placed at the end of the first day's play in their inter-school cricket match against St. Sebastian's College Moratuwa which began at the University Grounds, Peradeniya.
After dismissing the Sebastianites for 201, the Sylvestrians replied strongly with 121 for 1 through a good unbroken partnership of 109 for the second wicket between Ranga Dissanayake 51 not out and Zahran Hajireen 54 not out.
When the Sebastianites balled they were 10 for 4 at one stage and later recovered to 80 for 6 at lunch. Ranga Dissanayake 3 for 61 bringing his tally to 68 wickets this and C. Bandara 4 for 79 did the damage for the Sylvestrians.

Barbarians SC batting first were boundled out for 30 in just 17 overs due to some accurate bowling by M. C. M. Rizwan who captured 5 wickets for 11 runs. In reply Green Channel SC knocked off the required runs scoring 34 in a mere five overs with Irfan Hameed showing the way with a hard hit 22 n.o.
