WEST INDIES v AUSTRALIA 1994-95
Wisden CricInfo staff - January 1, 1996

At Port-of-Spain, March 11. Australia won by 26 runs. Toss: Australia.

Accurate seam bowling proved the tourists' passport to their only one-day triumph of the series; they dismissed West Indies in the 48th over. But Healy claimed the match award – a wooden trophy as tall as him – for a late flurry of 51 in 44 balls, after entering the fray at 163 for five.

A target of 261 looked imposing, and Reiffel and McGrath hit a prudent length to suffocate the West Indian innings. But Warne was smacked about again, conceding 63 from ten: Hooper's footwork was too quick for him. Earlier, Hooper ran out Blewett with a direct hit from backward point – the first dismissal to be confirmed by video replay in the Caribbean, where the technology was being used for the first time. Healy and Adams were also given out by third umpire Ralph Gosein.

Man of the Match: I. A. Healy.
