ZIMBABWE v PAKISTAN 1994-95
Wisden CricInfo staff - January 1, 1996

At Harare, February 22. Tied. Toss: Zimbabwe.

Wasim Akram, batting No. 11 and with one hand after he needed six stitches in the other one, could only hit the penultimate ball back to the bowler, Whittall, and the match was tied. He had split the webbing in his right hand attempting a return catch off Peall. Pakistan required 51 from the last ten overs, but faltered after two run-outs, while Bryan Strang, who had claimed two early wickets, added two more. Aamir Nazir holed out at the start of the final over; Saeed Anwar reached his eighth one-day international century with a four off the third ball, but the leg-bye which levelled the scores left Wasim in the firing line. Whittall himself hit 14 in the final over of Zimbabwe's innings, before being caught off Aqib Javed's final ball.

Men of the Match: Saeed Anwar and B. C. Strang.
