Pakistan v Zimbabwe 1993-94
Wisden CricInfo staff - January 1, 1995

At National Stadium, Karachi, December 24. Pakistan won by seven wickets. Toss: Pakistan. Returning to their traditional venue in Karachi, Pakistan won with 6.1 overs to spare. Wasim Akram set up their victory with five wickets for 15, his best figures in one-day internationals; he had Zimbabwe's captain, Andy Flower, caught behind off the first ball of the match. Only Houghton and Dekker, who added 70 for the fourth wicket, offered much resistance as Zimbabwe were bowled out in 38 of the alloted 40 overs. Opener Saeed Anwar dominated Pakistan's reply with 68 from 61 balls, though he was dropped by Andy Flower off Brandes's second ball. A crowd off 22,000 enjoyed every moment as he took the tourists' attack apart; he hit seven fours and Pakistan needed only 18 more when he was bowled by Streak.
