AUSTRALIA v NEW ZEALAND Wisden CricInfo staff - January 1, 1995
At Sharjah, April 16. Australia won by seven wickets. Toss: New Zealand. International debut: M. W. Douglas. Australia's second win made them the first team to reach the semi-finals. They achieved it comfortably after Warne wrecked New Zealand's batting and Hayden and Boon put on 123 for the second wicket. Warne took four wickets for 34, three lbw and one caught and bowled, while Fleming almost matched his figures with four for 39. It was a disappointing start for Larsen, who led New Zealand for the first time in his 52nd limited-overs international, though he still awaited his Test debut. Man of the Match: S. K. Warne. © Wisden CricInfo Ltd |
