Joining forces at 77 for five, they added 109 in 19 overs; De Silva hit 38 from his last 18 balls. Though West Indies lost Haynes and Simmons for ducks, the left-handers Lara and Arthurton then combined in a stand of 163 to put the result beyond doubt.
