AUSTRALIA v WEST INDIES Wisden CricInfo staff - January 1, 1994
At Perth, December 6. West Indies won by nine wickets. Toss: Australia. Australia could not come to terms with accurate West Indies bowling and sharp fielding and laboured to 50 off 24.4 overs. Mark Waugh and Matthews added 58 off 14 overs before Waugh was stumped down the leg side off a delivery signalled wide by umpire Prue. Healy's unbeaten 21 off 23 balls came too late to provide a real challenge to West Indies. Haynes took 14 balls to get off the mark but gained momentum and was there at the end, hitting 11 fours to bring his team victory with nearly 12 overs to spare.
