INDIA v ZIMBABWE 1992-93
Wisden CricInfo staff - January 1, 1994

At Gauhati, March 22. India won by seven wickets. Toss: India.

A truncated match was given an exciting finish when India squeezed home with three balls to spare. Nearly three hours were lost to overnight rain, which left wet patches on the pitch. When Zimbabwe were put in, the Flower brothers were among the runs again, and Grant reached the top score of the match, 57 off 67 balls. Though the target did not seem stiff for a side in form, India struggled after another good start. Azharuddin's coolness at the end tilted the scales. With 16 needed from the final two overs he pulled a ball of full length from Brain for six over mid-wicket.

Man of the Match: G. W. Flower.
