NEW ZEALAND v PAKISTAN 1992-93 Wisden CricInfo staff - January 1, 1994
At Auckland, December 30. New Zealand won by six wickets. Toss: New Zealand. Javed Miandad's 30 was the highest score of Pakistan's innings as they subsided within 47.4 overs on a brown, slow pitch; none of the three strips supplied for the series complied with the usual limited-overs formula of quick runs. Watson bowled beautifully at medium-fast pace for four wickets. Although Greatbatch pulled Wasim Akram's first delivery of the New Zealand innings into the South Stand for six, three were out for 45. Then Crowe again rose above the difficulties facing the other players; his unbeaten 57 took him to 132 runs for once out in the series. Man of the Match: M. D. Crowe. © Wisden CricInfo Ltd |
