PAKISTAN v SRI LANKA 1991-92
Wisden CricInfo staff - January 1, 1993

At Sargodha, January 10. Pakistan won by eight wickets. Toss: Pakistan. Pakistan immediately took a 1-0 lead in the five-match rubber. Put in to bat, Sri Lanka found it hard to come to terms with accurate and effective bowling, in overcast conditions and on a pitch of uncertain bounce, and were restricted to a rate of under four runs in their allotted 40 overs. Ramiz Raja continued his fine form of the Test series, hitting a belligerent 74 with ten fours in 107 balls. His 112-run second-wicket partnership with Javed Miandad, who reached 50 in 96 deliveries, enabled Pakistan to complete their victory off the penultimate ball of the 37th over, with only two wickets down.

Man of the Match: Ramiz Raja.
