With Sachin Tendulkar in sizzling form, the Indians, though, mounted a late fightback. The little master dominated an unbroken 108-run fifth wicket stand with a circumspect Laxman (30* off 102 balls). Tendulkar's dazzling innings reached its culmination when he completed his first Test ton at Kolkata, ending up with 114* before bad light ended play. "The last day will be crucial. I have to try and carry on and we have to ensure that we don't lose wickets in the first session and also score runs," a happy Tendulkar later told reporters.
