(Bulawayo 3rd ODI - 27 Jun 2001)
India got off to a slow start, which turned out to be a shocker too,
Sachin Tendulkar scratched around for 27 balls to make just nine runs.
Bryan Strang bowled a superb opening spell, keeping the batsmen quiet
and took the wicket of Tendulkar, caught by Grant Flower. Dinesh
Mongia (37) and Sourav Ganguly added 69 runs for the second wicket
taking the Indian score to 91 inthe 26th over. With the arrival of
Rahul Dravid, the scoring got the much-required momentum. Ganguly (85)
too grew in confidence and went on to score his first big innings in
quite a while. Ganguly struck a six and eight boundaries in his knock.
