A pumped up Sourav Ganguly put paid to Lankan hopes by snuffing out the
middle order. Picking up the key wickets of Arnold (21) and Jayawardene
(34), Ganguly pegged Sri Lanka back to 93/5. With half the team back in the
pavilion, the Lankans lacked the firepower to make a real dash at the total
and slumped to 181 all out, giving India victory by 46 runs.
