Daniel Vettori making a comeback to the international arena after being
injured for the best part of this year, put up an excellent show. The
slightly changed bowling action seems to have done him no harm, the loop
and the turn is still there. This young Kiwi left-arm spinner is probably
the best of his kind in international cricket today. He picked up the
valuable wickets of Atapattu and then later that of Jayasuriya who was
about to go on a major offensive. Vettori finished with the respectable
figures of 10-0-42-2
