Zimbabwe struck early in the Indian first innings, Sadagoppan Ramesh's off
stump was sent spectacularly cartwheeling by the young Zimbabwe fast bowler
Brighton Watambwa. India lost the wickets of VVS Laxman and SS Das. Das
(30) was unlucky to be given out caught bat-pad at silly point. By close of
play India was 83/3.
