The Yorkshire Gentlemen

The Club was founded in 1863 following a resolution "that two distinct Clubs be founded - one to be named The Yorkshire County Cricket Club, who would employ professional cricketers and play professionals from other counties, the other, The Yorkshire Gentlemen's Cricket Club who would play 'Gentlemen from neighbouring counties.' We continue to support a healthy fixture card containing some 36 all day fixtures, three of which are two day games.
