The South Wales Hunts

The South Wales Hunts Cricket Club was founded in 1926, and its colours are green, black, claret and primrose with a fox on the cap.

What a glorious way for a Club to start: over a convivial luncheon on a Tuesday during the winter of 1925/26 in Cardiff. And what an appropriate place for the first meeting to called: in the bar at Chepstow Racecourse when the first committee was appointed and the magnificent colours chosen. We play numerous "old boy" sides, and this year we shall be celebrating 70 years of playing the Downside Wanderers - our first fixture with them was in 1930.
