The Frogs The first rule of The Frogs used to be that 'Membership shall be by invitation to the Committee only, and shall be open to all English gentlemen who behave as such'. This seems to me an excellent rule but, alas, easier to sustain in 1903 than the present day. Nowadays theFrogs are a Sunday club but they have always played a wide variety of cricket alternating between the better London clubs, social sides, country house teams and rural gents like the Somerset Stragglers and the Devon Dumplings. For the last six years they have played just under 30 matches a season and in this 90th anniversary year they celebrated not only with a dinner but also a festival at Wellington.
