The Flycatchers

The club was founded in 1936 and was initially called The Gargoyles. The first game was played against the BBC on 2nd May 1936. The Flycatchers played their first game after the war at North Mymms in May 1947. The Flycatchers have always been able to produce surprises on the pitch, whether it be a collapse from 130-1 to 135 all out or 80-9 to 240-9 declared. In March every year we have a dinner in London, which brings together old and new members and their guests and inevitably goes on until the early morning.
