Lancashire beat Leicestershire by 7 wickets on 29 August. The home side won the toss and fielded, with Habib's 42 and an unbeaton 30 from Kasprowicz the key innings for Leicestershire. In response however, a 75-run 1st wicket partnership between Mike Watkinson (49) and Mike Atherton (64) gave Lancashire the start they needed. John Crawley lead the team to victory with 39 as the home side won with nearly 3 overs to spare.
