Dr.HD Kanga Memorial Cricket League Rules
The rules of the Kanga league have changed this year. The rules are as follows:

- A team winning a match outright is awarded 8 points as opposed to the 5 points as per the earlier format.
- For a first innings lead, teams are awarded 5 points intstead of 3.
- Teams losing on first innings lead will get 2 points instead of 0.
- Tie in both innings, 4 points awarded to each team (instead of 2), tie in one innings 3 points to each team (instead of 1)
- A draw with no first innings result 3 points awarded to each team (instead of 1)
2. Overs
- The 8 ball over format which was unique to the tournament has been discontinued in favour of the conventional 6 ball over format.
- If a team is bowled out below 30 overs, no over rate penalty will be enforced.
- From this year onwards, there will be no minimum mandatory overs limit.
3. Fielding Restrictions
- Previously there were no restrictions on number of fielders behind square on the onside. Now that has been changed to conform with world-wide first class standards, and only two fielders are allowed in that region.
4. Wide Balls
- Any ball bowled two feet wide of the stumps on either side will be called wide.
- Teams have been advised to use markings to make things easier for the bowlers and batsmen alike.
