COURTNEY WALSH took five wickets for two runs in his last 14 deliveries for his best Sunday League return of five for 23 which paved the way for Gloucestershire's first victory of the season by four wickets with two balls to spare.
They made heavy weather of the target of 207, however, after Mark Alleyne struck 63, and were indebted to a late flourish from Jonathan Lewis who flailed 26 off 18 balls.
Leicestershire enjoyed a solid start, anchored by Ben Smith with 74 in 72 balls, before Chris Lewis came in and twice danced down the wicket to drive, but Martyn Ball had him caught and bowled.
Darren Maddy, clearly enjoying life after inclusion in the England one-day squad, did not last long, either, then Walsh's unerring yorkers cleaned up the tail.
