1. Squad assembles in Harare on Monday 8 December 1997 for training camp
8th-12th December 1997.

2. Final selection of 15 players and 3 officials to be announced on 15
December 1997.

3. Murray Goodwin has Sport and Recreation Commission special dispensation
to play cricket for Zimbabwe whilst his Zimbabwe citizenship application is
being processed.

4. David Houghton has retired as a player and will concentrate on this
duties as National Coach. The Zimbabwe Cricket Union pays tribute to David
as one of this country's most distinguished and talented players. His
services to Zimbabwe Cricket as a player and former National Captain have
been invaluable during an outstanding playing career, especially during the
period of our transition to Test and One-Day international cricket.
