Hyderabad v Andhra Pradesh at Secunderabad, Match Report
Ranji Trophy 1993-94, South Zone, Report
Hyderabad, 8-11 Jan 94
Records galore were set in the drawn Hyderabad-Andhra Ranji Tro-
phy tie at the Gymkhana grounds here today. Hyderabad piled up
944 runs which is the highest total for any side in the country
in first class matches. Hyderabad took 211 overs and consumed 802
minutes to get the record. MV Sridhar scored 366.
This is the highest score in the Ranji trophy too, surpassing
Tamil Nadu's 912-6 against Goa in 1988 (Raman and Arjan Kripal
Singh had 300s in that one) and Holkar's 912-8 vs. Mysore in
1945 (which had no batsmen scoring 200+).
Also, M.V. Sridhar's 366 is the third individual highest score in
Ranji history, behind B.B.Nimbalkar's 443* (for Maharashtra) and
Sanjay Manjrekar's 377 (for Bombay).
Any information on partnership records that were broken?
